 Verified I wanted a WOW for my 40th birthday party and the castle did not disappoint! The 12 of us comfortably fit with plenty of room the spare. Mike and Jen were super responsive during the booking process and answered every question I had leading up to the trip. And having housekeeping staff was a real treat. They even do your laundry for you! The entire castle staff were outstanding. They took care of every little detail and made us feel right at home. Having Chef Diego prepare our meals was perfect. He made delicious food and honored every little request. You never need to leave the castle if you don’t want to. Big shout out to Charlie who coordinated all the transfers, airport pick ups and drop offs and rides into town. I seriously can’t thank Mike, Jen and the castle crew enough for making my milestone birthday such a success. My friends and I are going to be talking about it for years!

 Verified I stayed at the Castle for my bachelor party and Mike and his hosts were nothing less than impeccable! There was a group of 14 people that stayed there and everyone had a really great time.  Verified I had high expectations for our stay at the Castle of Oz based on the Host's description and all the positive reviews , but the castle, all its staff and amenities, and the Host EXCEEDED all of those expectations. The castle offers a one of kind experience that's perfect for a large group of guests no matter what the occasion is or what type of vacation you're looking to have. We had a group of 18 guys staying the castle for a bachelor party, and we had an unforgettable experience there. Mike & Jen and all the staff working at the castle went above and beyond to take good care of us and also get us to/from our excursions on time. As for the private chef, Chef Diego and his assistant were KEY in making our stay the castle--and our overall trip to Costa Rica--so amazing. Not only was it super convenient to have a private chef make all our meals on the trip, but every single meal that Chef Diego and his assistant made for us was incredible--from their ceviche to their chicken tandoori.

 Verified Stayed at THE CASTLE for my best friend's bachelor party. Mike & Jen's entire team was incredible. They always made sure we had everything we needed, booked activities, chef services, shuttled us back and forth from town back to the castle, and responded to us at all hours of the night. Absolutely unforgettable experience. If you're looking for something that will blow your mind instead of a basic cookie cutter bachelor party experience....BOOK THE CASTLE! Huge shoutout to Fabian, Charlie, and Fernando for keeping everybody safe, showing us a great time, being SO accommodating, and saving the day on multiple occasions. This is the team you want having your back when you're planning a weekend for your best friend and when your entire crew is relying on you to make it an epic weekend. Can't thank those guys enough.  Verified Ready to be spoiled on an amazing trip? I booked a corporate retreat for my company & it was above and beyond what I could have dreamed. The house itself is expansive, with amazing views, so many bedrooms, and the decor is unlike anything you've experienced....straight out of a movie. Chef Diego will cater to your every need, and let me be honest, I am super particular about my food. What a treat to have an in-house chef on vacation to provide fresh local cuisine! We were lucky enough to spot a few monkeys in the trees during our stay, and the host provided us with all arrangements and recommendations to see other wildlife, go ziplining, take surfing lessons, and where to go for happy hour and the best pizza...bc sometimes you just want pizza on vacation! The transfers to and from the airport were well-coordinated and the hosts were so accommodating to all questions & requests. It was priceless to not have to do any research or planning of my own!  Verified WOW, WOW, WOW! We had 16 of us girls for a Bachelorette party and it was beyond what we could have hoped for. The Castle is just huge, the bedrooms are so large, and everything was pristine clean. The bar and pool area felt like we were at a luxury resort but all to ourselves. It is in a peaceful, private setting with beautiful landscape and views, toucans all over and we even saw monkeys. The owners Jen and Mike went above and beyond, set up all excursions, chef services (Chef Diego is amazing), and spa services. We did not even have to leave, but the free shuttle service was convenient and just quick drive to Jaco for the party scene! Jen even had decorations and party favors for us when we arrived. The staff was wonderful it was like we were all treated as princesses for the stay.  Verified This place is definitely unique and picturesque. It’s nestled in the hills and jungles and is a little bit of trek to get to but so worth it and reasonably close to town. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the staff of the property from the maids to the workers to the chef especially were incredible. The chef Diego made some of the most delicious meals we have ever had and no request was too much for them to handle. Highly recommend this place looking for those looking for an unforgettable, unique, and king/queen like experience. The staff was very helpful and responsive to us throughout or stay and wish I was still there to be honest. Thank you for a great experience
